This week was intense in almost every way possible. The lecture topic was Biblical Worldview. It was very extensive. Our speaker was very passionate, opinionated, and "tough" (I think he was a softy deep down, but tries to mask it by wearing earth tones and never smiling). The week was basically about the history of the world and a lot of other educational head-knowledge stuff. I found it a tad hard to pay attention because I'm not much of a history person and because I was counting down the days till Friday! I'll tell you why in a second.

On Tuesday, our local outreach was passing out hot chocolate to our neighbors and any homeless people around. As crazy as this sounds, it actually gets very cold at night here. I woke up this morning and put on two pairs of socks, and guess what. I'm still cold. Anyway, it was a really cool night (pun intended). I crack myself up sometimes.

The rest of the week went by, lectures were overall really well. On Thursday, instead of our normal Deep Places time, we went to our base director's house and had worship and a campfire with smores!! I had a blast. Smores are so so so good. After that two of my friends, our chef, and I went to McDonalds, had a jam session or two, and then went home. Pretty solid night if you ask me.

Friday morning, 8:00 am, ADTS was outside, bags packed and loading into vans, because we were headed to Cali! Bakersfield, California to be exact, to hear from the wonderful Phil Gazley and his friend Doug. We got there around 1:30 and had lectures till about 4, then had dinner, and went on a prayer walk. My prayer group got followed by a group of men that could eat us. They cawed at us. Ya know the sounds that birds make? Yeah that definitely happened. So we ran to a lovely Mexican restaurant. Mexican food saves the day, yet again!!

Saturday, we heard more lectures. Then at night we got to work with a wonderful ministry that gives backpacks filled with basic necessities for prostitutes, called Magdalene Hope. It was a really great experience.

This week really gave me a new understanding of the world and just how crazy God is.

This coming week is going to be great. My lovely mother is visiting AND my boyfriend is coming this weekend. Hallelujah!!
